Walgreens deals

Tabitha at Saving toward a Better Life has created a very nice list of Walgreens match-ups for this week, so go check it out! Work those RR's girl!

Walgreens: Cash vs. Register Rewards, Round 2!

The last few days I have been in a state of near panic because I had $14.50 in Register Rewards that were set to expire today and was not impressed with the weekly ad at all. I could not let them expire, but did not want to get my butt kicked by Walgreens again.

Thankfully, Michele over at Happy2bfrugal came up with some ideas and saved me from the additional humiliation.

2 Theraflu Warming @ $5.00 each = $10.00
1 Venus Embrace @ $8.99
1 Olay Body Wash @ $5.29
4 packages of Garden Seeds @.33 cents each = $1.34
1 package of Garden Seeds @ .34 cents

Sales Tax = $2.17

Subtotal = $28.12

Minus:
Walgreens in-ad coupon (Garden Seeds, 5/$1.00) = .67
$2.00/1 Theraflu PRINTABLE x 2 = $4.00
$2.00/1 Venus Embrace MFR (2/7 P&G exp. 3/31) = $2.00
Buy 1 Venus, get 1 Olay Body Wash Free (2/7 P&G, exp. 3/31) = $5.29
Register Rewards from last time = $14.50

Subtotal coupons = $26.46

Total OOP = $1.66

I got a $4.00 Register Reward for buying the Venus Embrace and a $5.00 Register Reward for buying 2 Theraflu for a total of $9.00 in Register Rewards!

I had a couple moments of iffiness, I wasn't sure that they would take both of the Venus coupons together, but the cashier scanned it and it didn't get the death beep so they do work together. The other was when she was scanning the last RR, at this point I was down into the sales tax and had been told previously that RRs can't be applied toward sales tax but again, no death beep. All Good :)

Walgreens: Cash vs. Register Rewards

My husband and I are having a "lively" conversation regarding Register Rewards from Walgreens. I came home with this stuff, and $14.50 in RRs and tried to tell him that, considering the RRs, it was like spending $2.50 for all this stuff. He doesn't agree, he says NO, you still spent $16.48 (ok, I am still learning how to roll the RRs to get the stuff for free, but hey, I got $14.50 in RRs!)

Here is what I got:

2 Kotex Ladies @ $3.00 each = $6.00
1 Gillette Fusion Power Razor = $8.99
1 Gillette Deodorant = $3.99
1 Gillette Body Wash = $3.34
1 Dove for men Body Wash = $5.99
1 Valentine Card w/candy box = $3.99 (not pictured, needed for school manana, and I didn't have time to go anywhere else)
2 Candy Bars @ .69 cents each
1 Candy Bar @ .62 cents
1 Candy Bar@ .67 cents
Tax @ 8.7% = $2.81

Subtotal = $37.78

Minus MFRs:
$Buy 1 Gillette Deodorant, get 1 Gillette body wash 4 free MFR ( 2/7 PG, exp. 3/31) = $3.34
Dove Men's Body Wash MFR ( 1/31 RP, exp. 4/25) = $1.25
Kotex $2.00/$2.00 MFR(1/10 SS, exp. 3/7) = $2.00
Gillette Fusion Razor MFR (2/7 PG, exp.3/31) = $4.00
Total MFRs = $10.59
Subtotal =$27.20
Minus Store coupons/savings:
RRs from last week = $10.00
Wags saving coupon = .71
Total Store coupons = $10.71

Total OOP = $16.49 (the receipt says $16.48 and since we all know that I can't add even with a calculator its going to be considered a wash)
BUT, I got these RR's back:
Dove Men's Body Wash = $6.00
Gillette Fusion Razor = $4.00
Gillette Deodorant = $1.50
Kotex = $2.00
Mars Candy Bars (must be monthly deal as I don't recall seeing it in ad) $1.50
Total RRs =$16.00

At this point, I turned around and purchased 4 more candy bars (bad...very bad gonna burn in hell Leah) at the Wags coupon price of .49 cents each and used one of my $1.50 RRs to pay for it. All I can say is, I was hungry, they looked good, and I fell for the "Get 8 candy bars for $1.00 bit the cashier gave me - she realized I was working the RRs and cashed in on it (she gonna burn in hell with me.)

I walked out with $14.50 in RRs, but spent $16.95 in real cashola. The way I like to look at this is, hey, I got all this stuff for $2.45! My husband has a different perspective, he says I got all this stuff for $16.95.

I don't know who is right about this, but I am ok with spending $2.45 for all that stuff in the photo :)~

1/17/10

I love it when....

this happens!!

First, on Friday night, I went to Rosauers and grabbed 4 jars of La Victoria Salsa and a bag of carrots, gave them my quarter and walked out!

La Victoria Salsa, $1.69 x 4 = $6.76
Carrots, $1.49
Subtotal =$8.25
Minus:
$4.00/2 x 2 La Victoria Rewards Coupons = $8.00 Thanks again Karissa!

Total = .25 cents

Happy Happy!!

Then today at Walgreens,

Wet Ones, $2.00 x 4 = $8.00
Neosporin Lip Heath x 2 = $8.00
Filler item = .39
Tax = $1.40
Subtotal = $17.79

Minus:
$3.00 RR wyb $15.00 (My dad brought this home a few days ago and I have no idea what generated it.)
$1.50 off 1 Wet Ones PRINTABLE x 4 = $6.00 (Thanks Michele!)
$3.00 off Neosporin Lip Health PRINTABLE (FF here) x 2 = $6.00

Subtotal coupons = $15.00

Total OOP = $2.79

And, I got back a $3.00 RR for buying 2 Neosporin Lip Healths and 2 $1.00 RRs for buying 4 Wet ones, $5.00 in RRs total!

As I was saying, I love it when this happens!

Today at Walgreens

If you check my blog every so often, you probably have noticed that I haven't been doing a lot lately. I had a 2nd surgery a little over a week ago and this one kicked my butt pretty hard. It's been a painful recovery and the pain pills make me pretty apathetic, so I haven't been getting out out the house much. Not to mention that I can't actually drive while Im taking them...well I probably could... but I don't think you all would want me too.

Finally got out of the house today! I got motivated enough to go to Walgreens, (don't worry, my mom drove) here is what I got:

2 Gillette Power Fusion Razors @ $8.99 each = $17.98
2 Boxes of Band - Aids @ $1.50 each = $3.00
1 Olay Body Ribbons Body Wash = $2.99
1 Olay in the shower moisturizer = $4.99
Tax = $2.51

Subtotal = $31.47

Minus coupons:
-$4.00 off Any Gillette Fusion Razors( P&G, 11/29, exp. 12/31) x 2 = $8.00
-$1.00 off Any Olay Body Wash (P&G 11/1, exp. 11/30)
-$4.99 off any Olay Body Moisturizer wyb any Olay body Soap
- $3.00 off Band-Aids (Walgreens activity book, exp. 12/31)

Subtotal for coupons = $16.99

Total OOP = $14.48

Got back $9.00 in RR's, $4.00 2 x for the Gillette Razors and $1.00 for the Band- Aids.

That is like spending $5.48 for all that stuff! I can live with that :), considering that almost half of that was the tax.

11/3/09

the coolest thing happened at Walgreens today

I went over the Walgreens on E. Wellesley and Crestline today for a couple reasons, 1. It is close to my daughter's house, and I needed to drop off some stuff for her and 2. The cashier that usually works at the cosmetic counter is a coupon queen too and knows the best way to work it at Walgreens!

So, here is what I got:
  • 2 Vick's NyQuil $4.50 each = $9.00
  • 2 Herbal Essences shampoo @ $3.50 each = $7.00
  • 6 Hunts tomato sauce @ .80 cents each = $4.80
  • Tax = $1.39

Subtotal = $22.19

Minus:

  • Walgreens in-ad store coupon for tomato sauce = $2.80

Subtotal = $19.39

Minus MFRs:

  • $1.00/3 x 2 Hunts Product PRINTABLE = $2.00
  • $1.50 MFR (11/1 P&G insert, exp 11/30) = $1.50
  • $1.00 MFR (11/1 P&G insert, exp 11/30) = $1.00

And...Here is where it gets cool :)

  • 1 B1G1 Free Herbal Essences (10/11 P&G insert, exp. 11/30) = $3.50
  • Free Herbal Essences product coupon from the FaceBook promo = $3.50!

I wasn't sure if using the B1G1 coupon with the free product coupon was going to work, and neither was the cashier so we were both pretty surprised when it did. And, it still gave me the RR for it as well, so I got paid $2.00 to buy 2 bottles of shampoo!

Subtotal for MFRs = 11.50

Total cash spent = $7.89

AND I got the $2.00 RR for buying 2 Herbal Essences and a $3.00 RR for buying 2 NyQuil!! That is like spending $2.89 for 2 bottles of Shampoo, 2 bottles of NyQuil, and 6 cans of tomato sauce.

Anyway, I think that's pretty cool :)

Wags swag

September 29, 2009

There really are so many deals with RRs going on this week at Walgreens its almost impossible not to make a little money shopping there. I didn't do a big trip, but I saved alot and made over $6.00!

Here is the breakdown, it was actually done in 4 different transactions. The reason for this is that the cashier (who was really great and was cracking me up too) told me something I did not know before. She saw my RRs from last week and told me to:

  1. Let her scan the RRs first before the coupons so they system would accept more then one - don't know if that is the way it has always been or if there was some kind of system glitch today...and
  2. The Halls cough drops would only produce 1 RR per transaction, so if I wanted RRs for all of them I needed to do pay for them separately. I didn't know that, so I was glad she told me. She also said the same thing about the Gillette RR and advised I do separate transactions for those as well, but I was able to do 1 Gillette and 1 Halls on the a single transaction and still got both the RRs.

Ok, heres what I got:

2 Gillette MVP Razors @ $8.99 each = $17.98

6 Halls Refresh @ $1.00 each = $6.00

6 Butter Ball Chicken Broth @ .79 cents each = $4.74

3 Hunts Tomato Sauce @ .99 cents each = $2.97

Subtotal = $31.69 + $2.10 tax = $33.97

Minus:

$4.00 x 2 Gillette Razor MFR = $8.00

$1.00 x 2 Halls Refresh MFR = $2.00

$1.00/2 Halls (any) MFR = $2.00

RRs from last week = $9.50

Wags in-ad coupons for the tomato sauce and broth = $2.94

Total MFR coupons, store coupons and RRs = $24.44

Total cash spent = $9.53

And I got back $16.00 in RRs! Thats like being paid about $7.00 to shop there :) I love it when that happens!

Where should I buy the Gillette Fusion Razor?

September 27, 2009

Have you noticed the $4.00 off 1 Gillette Fusion Razor coupon in today's P&G Brand Saver insert? I did, and I also noticed that it is on sale at several different stores. So, I started wondering where I was going to get the best deal on it and decided to compare the stores and prices side by side. Here goes...

1. Fred Meyer, on sale for $7.99
- $4.00
= $3.99 each

2. Target, on sale for $7.49, buy 2 and receive a $5.00 Target gift card.
$7.49 x 2 = $15.88
- $4.00 x 2 = ($8.00)
= $7.88
- $5.00 Target GF = $2.88 for 2 (of course, your still spending the $7.88 but you have the $5.00 GC for something else)

3. Rite-Aid, on sale for $9.00 each
- $4.00
= $5.00
- $5.00 Single Check rebate
= Free after rebate

4. Walgreens, on sale for $8.99 each, buy 1 get a $6.00 RR
- $4.00
= $4.99
Get a $6.00 RR, making $1.01 profit (of course, you will still spend the $4.99 but you now have the $6.00 RR)

I think Im going with Walgreens, I have some RRs from last week I can use. Here is my plan, I hope it works:

1 Gillette Fusion Razor @ $8.99
1 Robitussin DM to go 2 pack @ $2.49
3 Hunts Tomatoes Sauce @ .39 cents each = $1.17 (in-ad coupon)
Tax = $1.10 (approximately)

Subtotal = $13.75
- $4.00 Gillette MFR
- $2.00 Roitussin PRINTABLE (must sign up for coupon)
- $7.00 in RRs from last week, 2 from Thermacare and 1 from P&G)
= .75 cents OOP

And I will get a $6.00 RR for the Gillette razor and a $2.50 RR for the Robitussin for a total of $8.50 back in RRs. I might have to buy some other little filler item because the Walgreens computer system can be a tricky little beast sometimes (I've had it go both ways before)

Oops, my bad, just realized that the Robitussin coupon excludes the DM to go, that sucks, Im going to have come up with another game plan.

Walgreens, I think I love you (today)

September 21, 2009

Sometimes, I just never know what to expect when I venture into Walgreens. Im nervous about shopping at some of their stores because they are kinda flighty about taking my coupons and giving me my RRs with the exception of the store on NW BLVD and Ash St. I have nothing but love for this store, they are always friendly, helpful and never ever given me any static over my coupons, and today was no different.

I had $5.00 in RRs that expire today so I was in a use 'em or lose 'em situation. I read the list and coupon match ups that the ACD posted HERE and I got the following in 2 transactions:

Transaction #1
2 Campbells Cooking Soups @ $1.59 each = $3.18
1 Thermacare Heat Wrap @ 2.49
2 Oral B Indicator Toothbrushes @ $ 2.00 each= $4.00
Tax = .56 cents

Subtotal = $10.23

Minus:
$1.40 Store coupon for the Campbells soup
$1.00/2 MFR for the Campbells soup
$1.00 MFR for the Termacare Heat Wrap
$2.00 B1G1F MFR for the Oral B Toothbrushes
$2.00 RR

Total Coupons = $7.40

Total OOP = $2.83

And I recieved 1 $2.00 RR for the Toothbrushes and 1 $2.50 RR for the Thermacare heat Wrap for a total of $4.50 in RRs.

Transaction # 2
2 Campbells Cooking Soups @ $1.59 each = $3.18
1 Thermacare Heat Wrap @ 2.49
2 Oral B Indicator Toothbrushes @ $ 2.00 each= $4.00
2 Motts Apple Juice @ 3.79 each = $7.58
Tax = .56 cents

Subtotal = $17.81

Minus:
$1.40 Store coupon for the Campbells soup
$4.00 Store Coupon for the Motts Apple Juice
$1.00/2 MFR for the Campbells soup
$1.00/ 2 MFR for the Motts (from the MDA booklet I think)
$1.00 MFR for the Thermacare Heat Wrap
$2.00 B1G1F MFR for the Oral B Toothbrushes
$3.00 RR

Total Coupons = $ $13.40
Total OOP = $4.41

And got another $2.00 RR for the Toothbrushes and $2.50 RR for the Thermacare Heat wrap.
So, all in all, I spent $7.24, and got $9.00 in RRs back, I basically made $1.76 by shopping at Walgreens today.

Target and Fred Meyer Match-ups 9/20 - 9/26

September 20, 2009

Wow! The ACD must have been up all night finding the killer coupon match-ups for Fred Meyer and Target!

They got all the good Target match-ups HERE.

The Fred Meyer Match-ups are HERE.

And there is a very nice list of current Walgreen monthly RR deals HERE.

I must caution you though, you might experience a bit of a shock when you see what our Alaskan friends are forced to pay for things, I know I certainly did. They are charged anywhere from .50 cents to $3.00 more for the same sale items so be sure to double check your Sunday ads to for the prices in your area.

Thanks for all your hard work, Nichole and Kara!

Walgreens - Glade candles and Sense and Spray

September 7, 2009

This week Walgreens has a couple RR deals going on that I wanted to do, and I think I made out ok :)

2 Glade Sense and Spray @ $5.99 each = $11.98
Tax = $1.01
Subtotal = $12.99

Minus:
$4.00 off MFR coupon x 2 = $8.00(in one of the Sunday paper inserts, dont recall which one) You can also print this coupon HERE
Total = $4.99

And got 2 $2.00 RR = $4.00
So, thats like spending .99 cents for both of them.

I also got:

2 Glade "The Fragrance Collection" 2 oz candles, 2 for $4.00
Tax = .35 cents
Subtotal = $4.35

Minus:
Free coupon for the 2 oz x 2 = $4.00 (also in one of the Sunday Inserts, we all have been holding onto these coupons just hopin and prayin we would find the candles)
Total = .35 cents

And got back a $1.00 RR for purchasing 2, so its like I made .65 cents. Subtract that from the .99 cents I paid for the Sense and Spray I paid .34 cents for 2 Sense and Sprays and 2 candles.

FYI, I went to the Walgreens at Ash and NW BLVD, they are keeping the 2 oz. Glade candles by the registers. IMHO, this is the best Walgreens in town, I never get any static from the cashiers about my coupons and on more then one occasion, including today, the cashier(s) have helped me figure out how to break up my transactions so that I could use all the coupons and still get the RRs.

Happy Labor Day Everyone :)

8/14/09

Another awesome shopping day

August 14, 2009
Ok, what you see here is a combination of my forays into 4 different stores today. I spent more then I had anticipated, but I got some great deals (not all of it is in the photo though)

Stop #1 -
Walgreens on NW BLVD and Ash

1 Sharpies Accent pens, $1.00
2 Walgreens children's activity books (found in the pharmacy) .99 cents each
2 J & J Boxes of Bandaids, $2.99 each
2 Walgreens elastic bandages (not pictured) clearanced at $2.29 each (normally $5.?? each)
1 Flintstone gummy vitamins, $8.49
1 J & J First Aid Kit (not pictured) clearanced at $9.99 (normally $17.99)
1 Mystery Item that I cannot divulge because it will be a christmas present for $5.19 (normally $20.00)
$3.24 tax

Subtotal = $39. 45

Less:
-$2.00 off Walgreens coupon for Flintstone Gummie Vitamins (found in the back to school brochure)
-$1.00 PRINTABLE COUPON for Flintstone Vitamins
-$1.00 PRINTABLE COUPON for any Sharpie Highlighter Accents (ty krazy coupon lady)
-$3.50 RR from last week
- $2.00 RR from last week

Total Spent: $30.95
Total Saved: $40.01
and got a $4.00 RR for buying 2 boxes of bandaids.

I want to back track for a moment and touch on those Walgreens Activity Books, I had read about them on another blog (and I apologize to the lady who writes it because I cannot recall which one it was), but she was saying that they are very hard to find because not all Walgreens will carry them, so I wasn't expecting to find them at all but was hopeful because they come with a full page of Walgreens store coupons worth $19.00 and they dont expire until 03/30/2010. The Pharmacy at Walgreens on NW BLVD and Ash has several of them.

Stop #2:
Albertson's on NW BLVD

2 Spongebob Colgate Toothpaste, on sale 10 for $10.00
Tax .17

Subtotal: $2.17

Less
2 .75 cents off MFR coupons, exp. 8/15

Total Spent: .67 cents
Total Saved: $4.28

Stop #3
Snyders/Franz Bakery Outlet on N. Monroe

2 loaves of Whole Grain White bread at .89 cents each
1 loaf of 7 Grain Pan Style bread at $1.19 each
1 package of Sourdough stadium buns at .89 cents

Subtotal: $3.86

Less my 50% off Snyder's store coupon

Total: $2.08 - which isnt quite 50% off, the cashier is new and took off 10% first then realized she made a mistake so took another 40% off. The Total should have been $1.93 but I still love the place, where else can you get 3 loaves of premium bread and a package of sourdough stadium buns for .52 cents each? I will never buy bread at the Grocery store again!

Stop #4
Safeway on Francis and Monroe

2 Lighthouse Salad Dressings at 2 for $5.00
2 - 24 ct. cases of Sierra Mist at $4.99 each
2 - 8 ct. Pringles to go, clearanced at $1.50 each
1 Sobe Life Water
4 Boxes of Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks at $2.00 each
MDA donation at $1.00
Tax .82 cents

Subtotal: $28.29

Less:
$4.00 Safeway store coupon for the Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks
$2.00 CPDEPT (what the?)
$1.49 Safeway Catalina for the Sobe Life Water
$4.60 in combined MFR coupons
$1.80 in combined E-coupons that I had downloaded onto my Safeway Card.

Total Spent: $15.40
Total Store savings: $19.14

And got a $2.50 OYNO for purchasing 4 Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks, and a Thank You booklet for the MDA donation that has coupons worth $37.65 and a free coupon for 1 lb. of any Freshpet Product.
Total Recap:
Spent: $47.69
Saved: $65.21
Got $6.50 in combined RRs and OYNO = $41.19 spent

To be honest, it was th $2.50 OYNO that motivated me to go into Safeway today in the first place. I had been surfing around different blogs and found one called My Frugal Adventures that detailed a possible money making scenerio on the Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks. I wanted to see if it was working here in WA, and it is. Charlene explains how to combine e-coupons with printable coupons and coupons from the Sunday paper to get 4 boxes of Fruit Snacks for $1.00 and get the $2.50 as well. For more information on how this deal works, and on E-coupons, click on the link above or her button over on the right under Blogs from around America. Thank you Charlene!

Nice score at Walgreens

August 6, 2009
Im slowing learning how the strange animal known as Walgreens works and Im getting the hang of how to "roll" the RRs.

Here is the scenerio:

Transaction #1
2 boxes of Fruit Loops at $2.50 each = $5.00
2 boxes of Raspberry Jell-o at 1.19 each = $2.38
1 box of Cherry Jell-o at .62 cents = .62 cents
1 box of Cherry Jell-o at $1.00 = $1.00
3 boxes of Walgreens Denture Cream at .50 cents each = $1.50
Tax = .13 cents

Subtotal = $10.63

Minus:
$1.00 off any Kelloggs MFR (peelie from previous purchase) x 2 = $2.00
.50 cents off 2 Jello MFR exp. 9/30 x 2 = $1.00
$2.00 WAGC (Walgreens in ad store coupon) = $2.00

Total coupons = $5.00

Total = $5.63
And got a $2.00 RR for buying 2 Kelloggs cereals

Transaction #2:
1 Gum Toothpaste 2 pack = $3.49
1 box of paper clips = .29 cents
2 legal note pads at .19 cents each = .38 cents
tax = .36

Subtotal = $4.52

minus:
$3.00 RR from last week

Total = $1.52
and got a $3.50 RR for buying the toothbrushes.

So, total OOP = $7.15
but when you factor in the $5.50 in RRs I got, thats like paying $1.65 for all of it!!

Like I said before, figuring out the Walgreens system has been a learning process for sure. Ive read about this on other blogs but didnt really get it until recently. When they are offering a RR (register reward) for an item, the system wont print it if you use a coupon or a different RR for that item UNLESS you have more items then coupons on the total order. So, you need to grab something else, preferably something cheap to trick the system. Lucky for us, school supplies are cheap right now so its easy to find something under a quarter to do this with. In a nutshell, you need to have more items then you have coupons for, then it will print the RR. Its not easy to explain or understand, but once you figure it out it all makes cents :)~

Wierd Email from Walgreens regarding thier coupon policy

Several Weeks ago, after having some "words" with one Walgreens Manager, I went onto the Walgreen's website and requested a copy of their corporate coupon policy. A few weeks after that, I got a call from a different Walgreen's manager whom, quite frankly, didn't seem to know his butt from a hole in the ground. After that conversation I pretty much gave up but then today I got the following email from corporate.

It will probably take some time for me to sort this out. At first glance, it appears that everyone who manages Walgreens or works for the corporate office are just a bunch of wackadoodles. But, its the "official" word from Walgreens, so feel free to print it out and take it with you when you shop at Walgreens. I will put it on my google docs list later for easier printing.

Dear Leah,

Thank you for taking your time to contact our Corporate Offices. We appreciate hearing from our customers and value all comments received.
Walgreen stores accept a variety of coupons everyday. The coupons generally fall into two categories. Walgreen issued coupons and manufacturer issued coupons. We will accept one Walgreen issued coupon and one manufacturer coupon for the same item, unless either coupon prohibits such use. You may use a “Walgreens” Roto Ad coupon and a manufacturer’s coupon, toward the purchase on any one item. Walgreens does not provide cash back if a coupon is presented for more than the purchase value of the item. Coupons from other retailers or coupons for products not carried in our stores are not accepted. All valid coupons must be presented to the cashier at the time of sale.

When purchasing two of the same item with a Buy one get one free coupon offer can an additional manufacturers coupon or store coupon be used in combination on the purchase?
NO. One item is being purchased and only one coupon can be used.

If a product is purchased for a price of .78 (cents), for example, and a coupon is given with face value of $1.00, how much is the proper coupon deduction?
Product retail plus taxes, unless state requires consumer to pay taxes.

If a coupon states “good on any size of the product” but does not specifically exclude trail sizes of this product, can the coupon be used on the trial size of the product?
Yes, unless coupon is printed with the wording (excluding trail sizes).

Must internet coupons be printed from the internet in color or is black and white acceptable?
It does not matter how internet coupons are printed.

If I have three coupons and three items will all of the coupons double/triple and allow me to make like savings on like products?
We will accept one Walgreen issued coupon and one manufacture coupon for the same one item, unless either coupon prohibits such use.

Weekly Shopping tally

First off, check out my new "Calling Card". I got 250 for just the shipping at Vista Print. If you find one around town, let me know!

Ok, Weekly Shopping breakdown for 6/8 - 6/13

I spent:

$3.67 at Albertsons
$9.95 at Yokes
$8.94 at Rainbow

Total Spent: $22.56

I saved:

$41.79 at Albertsons
.30 cents at Yokes
$10.10 at Rainbow

Total Saved: $52.19

That was just for groceries, I also shopped at Walgreens this week but most of the stuff I bought there were cleaning products. At Walgreens I spent $20.36 but I saved $41.76. Over twice as much as what I spent.

Even if I count the Walgreens, Im still under the $50 'guideline" this week.

Walgreens

One of Walgreens sale items this week are the New Purex 3-in-1 Laundry Sheets. Pretty Nifty new product, it has the detergent, softener and anti-static all on one sheet. You put it in the washer and transfer it with the clothes to the Dryer. Its high effeciency too, which is nice for those of us who have HE washers.

Walgreens has them on Sale for $5.99

There are $1.00/off 1 coupons here. Its a bricks so you can print 2.

Buy this product and get a $2.00 Register Reward.

So, here is what I did.

I bought 2, total = $11.98

- $1.00 off coupons x 2 = $9.98

- $2.00 RRs from last week x 2 = $5.98/2 = $2.99 each

Plus, I got 2 more $2.00 RRs so if you factor that in its like I paid .99 cents for each.

I was thinking that this is something my mom is going to like, she works for OOIDA traveling around all summer in their Show Truck and spends alot of time a truck stops. Some of the nicer ones have Laundromats available for the truckers and this product is going to eliminate the need to carry around a big jug of detergent and box of dryer sheets.
So, pass it on Ma!
Laundry

Another deal I saw at the Walgreens on NW BLVD was buy 4 Fig Newtons for $5.00, get a $3.00 RR. Its not an advertised RR so I dont know if its just that Walgreens or if all of them are doing it. If you got some coupons for Fig Newtons this could be a potential money maker!! I dont have any coupons :(
Oh Well
Leah

*update: The NW BLVD store appears to be the only one doing the Fig Newton RR. I was at the Walgreens on Newport Hwy and they dont even stock the full size packages. Nice store though, alot of products that you dont see in some of the others.

At the Newport Hwy store I picked up:

4 bottles of Glade Fabric and Air Freshner for $2.99 each (sale price) total $11.96

1 Glade Oil Plugin refill 2 pk. $2.99

1 Glade oil Plug in Fan $3.79

Total $18.74

minus:

Glade Fabric and Airfreshner B1G1 Free coupons from the 5/17 paper (I think) x 2 = $5.98

A peelie I found at the store, buy 1 Glade Plugin Refill, get the Warmer free = $3.79

$2.00 RR x 2 = $4.00

Total Coupons = $13.77

Total Spent = $6.64 (including $1.67 for tax)

Ginger and me had a little free spree today :)

My daughter and I went on a little free spree today, just for fun, to see what/if we could get some things for free with coupons. I think we did alright.

At Rosauers we got:

4 boxes of Jollytime Microwave pop corn on sale for $1.49 per box
less our $1.50 off 1 x 4 = .04 cents profit.

At Walmart we got:

7 Evercare mini lint rollers for .79 cents each = $5.53
less our $1.00 off any x 7 = $1.47 profit

At Target we got:

5 Hersheys Bliss candy Bars at .99 cents each = $4.95
less our Target store $1.00 off any x 5 (which was adjusted to .99 cents) total = $0.00
4 Crystal Light 3 packs at .99 cents each = $3.96
Less our $1.00 off 1 coupons = .04 cents profit
2 Arm and Hammer Travel size Toothpaste at .79 cents each = 1.58
Less our $1.00 MFR off( I think it was the 5/31 insert) any x 2 = .42 cents profit.
1 Tylenol trial size at .97 cents
Less our $1.00 off any = .03 cents profit.
I dont think that this particular coupon is still available.
2 Kraft Mayonnaise, on sale for $1.99 each = $3.89
Less our $1.00 off x 2 = $1.98
Less our $1.00 off Target Store coupons (adjusted to .99 cents) = $0.00
We also got 1 Edge Men's shaving gel for .24 cents by combining the Target Coupon and a $1.00 MFR my mom sent me. But considering we had at .49 cent overage it still was basically free.

We also went into Walgreens to do the Ecotrin deal, but we unfortunately encountered the Coupon Nazi Manager. She would not take the $2.25 coupon because it was over what the sale price of the Ecotrin was. I asked if she would adjust the price of the Ecotrin and get this she said that it was a violation for them to raise retail prices....I'm thinking WHAT, stores raise their prices every day, not to mention I had already used one of the coupons at a different Walgreens and got the full $2.25 off...anyway, I found these $2/off Any Ecotrin from Iheartwags so I will get my free aspirin and get paid for buying them too with the $2.00 RR. So there, Coupon Nazi Manager!

We purchased other things too so our profits went toward those items. It was a fun day, even Ginger said so. When she was little, I used to carry coupons around in a pink rubbermaid box and she was sooo embarrassed. Im using some accordion style folders I got at the Dollar tree now but Im thinking I might have to migrate to the Binder Method as these little folders are about to explode with all my coupons and are getting a bit cumbersome to carry around and look through.

New sales tomorrow! I will do Yokes and Rosauers match ups tomorrow or Thursday.

Walgreens deal alert, free Cutter bug spray!

Found these at the Walgreens on N. Division and Cascade Way ( bit north of the N. Division Cosco), 2/$4, used my $2 off any Cutter Personal Insect Repellent coupons that I printed and got 4 of them for just paying the sales tax on them, about .69 cents. I checked to see if the coupons were still available and did not find them for myself, but that could be because I already printed them. If you have any of the Cutter $2 coupons this Walgreens had several left.
