The Pillsbury deal at Fred Meyer

October 6, 2009

I know, I know, here I go with the Fred Meyers again....

Ok, I just wanted to do a follow up on the Pillsbury catalina deal that is going on at Fred Meyers this week.

In my previous post, I mentioned that the cellfire e-coupon for the Pillsbury grands might also come off the total, but I am glad to report that it DOES NOT. The reason Im glad? Because its not the product that is on sale and technically should not come off if your buying the crescent rolls. Whatever is happening with the Nature Valley Nut Cluster e-coupons is some kind of glitch, which is to be expected periodically when a new system or program goes into action.

I still did get my Pillsbury Crescent rolls for free :) Here is the math:

Pillsbury Crescent rolls on sale (no store coupon required), 3 for $5.00
- $1.00 PRINTABLE x 3 = $3.00
= $2.00
*Received a $2.00 OYNO for buying 3. So, I did put out $2.00 cash, but got it back on the OYNO. I just checked and it looks like this coupon is still available, I can't print it again because I printed my limit before. If you need to print it from Foxfire, see this POST for the link.

There are also other coupons and Pillsbury Products that will work with this Catalina deal. Your mileage will vary, depending on which products you buy and how many. I recommend checking Hot Coupon World or A Full Cup for a complete list of available coupons.

Qualifying Pillsbury Products are:
  • Crescent Rolls
  • Sweet Rolls
  • Grands! Biscuits and Cinnamon Rolls
  • Pie Crust
  • Dinner Rolls
  • Bread Sticks
  • Pizza Crust

Buy 3 qualifying products = $2.00 OYNO

Buy 4 qualifying products = $2.50 OYNO

Buy 5 qualifying products = $3.00 OYNO

Im going to FM again today (for a few more pouches of Free Tuna) and I will try to remember to make a list of the prices for the other items on this catalina deal....so there will probably be another Fred Meyer Post :)~

I did the pillsbury catalina at my Fred Meyers today and the catalina machine jammed. I wouldn't have even noticed had I not done another transaction which I planned to pay with that catalina. I went to customer service and after a long wait with my two year old screaming at the top of his lungs they just gave me $2.50 cash b/c they couldn't find the promo in their catalina book. I hate when they just do that though, b/c they lose out and it didn't really fix the problem. It's happened to me before at Albertsons. But hey if they don't mind giving me money then so be it! =)

Ive not had a catalina jam on me but since it is a printer it probably happens quite a bit :(

My kids cant stand shopping either but the Freddies I usually go to has a free in-store daycare and both my kids love it. My son is starting to insist that we only shop at that store now. He calls it his "store home".

Leah, i have had many a issue with the Fred Meyer playland here in Puyallup. Long story short the lady I dislike the most seems to be working there whenever I go shopping so I refuse to put Joey in playland. I literally have been called back to playland 10 times by just this one lady and i've only taken my son to playland maybe 15 times! And it's always been for the worst reasons, (taking his bracelet off, asking where I was). I finally got the schedule of my favorite playland attendant so I try my best to plan accordingly!

Im sorry to hear that :( It is suppose to help parents, not make shopping more stressful.

The lady at my Fred Meyer told me that Fred Meyer wasn't officially participating in the e-coupons, it is other Kroger stores but they get through on their systems. Since their stores weren't programmed for them, store coupons interfere with them.

Anon,

From what I can tell, that lady is right. Thats how it worked for me and Michele over at fun2bfrugal had the same experience as well. Atleast we know now and can plan accordingly.
