Menu Plan Monday

What a week!

So, last week I had all these high and mighty plans to do some freezer cooking - which was going along all right even though my mom had to go to the coast earlier then we anticipated - but everything went SOUTH on Saturday.

3:00 AM Saturday morning, the door bell starts going off. DH and I wake up and wonder what kind of hell visits at 3 AM on a Saturday morning. We tip-toe down the hall and peek around the corner to see what we might have for a freak on the door step. It's a Spokane Police Officer.....About died right there! We have an adult daughter and there is a cop at our door at 3:00 in the morning! Can't be good news.

So, we open the door and the police officer is asking if my Mom lives here.

Ok, what did she do now?

Just joking :)~ Turns out, one of our cars was stolen and wrecked. I cannot describe the amount of relief I felt when I heard that, which I know sounds weird but as mentioned before, we have an adult daughter who lives outside the home and I can't tell you how scared I was to open that door.

Cops showing up at 3:00 AM are generally not delivering good news, but it was the best news I got in my whole life!

But my freezer cooking plans for that day got scraped. Maybe next week?

So, my girl is just fine and my Mom will be back on Wednesday and without further ado - here is our menu :)

Monday
Fried Egg Sandwiches
Fried Potatoes
Cottage Cheese w/Fruit cocktail (can has been hanging out in the Pantry for way too long)

Tuesday
Spaghetti (sauce from the freezer)
French Bread (totally scored at the Bread Store on Saturday!)
Green Beans

Wednesday
Tacos

Thursday
Tequila Lime Turkey Tenderloin - last one in the freezer :(
Salad
LO French Bread

Friday
Bacon Cheese Burgers
Baked Beans - Maryanne said I could share the recipe! So it will be forthcoming :)
Oven Fries

Saturday
Left over Buffet

Sunday
Crock-pot Steaks
Mashed Potatoes
Corn

Not very creative, but substance all the same :)

Come celebrate my 1 year of blogging with me and enter my give away!

Wow. I probably would've started crying before I opened the door! I'm glad everyone is okay though.
Your menu sounds good, I'm looking forward to the baked beans recpie!
Have a great week!

Everyone we know is OK. Both of the Airbags were deployed, a front wheel was popped off and the steering column is ripped out. I am not sure what that really means, if the whole thing is gone or if Popo was referring to the ignition since it was hotwired. There are probably a couple punks running around with airbag burn (they will rip the skin right off when they are deployed). I dont feel bad about that!

My goodness! That WOULD be a scary thing to awaken to! So glad everyone is ok...

Love egg sandwiches! I forget about them too often, but they're so delicious for any meal. :)
