BREAKING NEWS!

The cops have cordoned off Fred Meyer and Safeway while they attempt to locate the crazy coupon lady that just took the stores to the cleaners!

WOW - you did a great job! I wish I had a Safeway and Fred Meyer.

I have noticed a lot of the Safeway stores around here (Coeur d' Alene especially) are not very coupon friendly! Do you know of a "good" Safeway, or a particular checker that is more coupon friendly? I almost dread going to Safeway for sales because they give me so much trouble and act like I am an inconvenience trying to use coupons! Also have had huge trouble trying to use legitimate printables, and every checker I go to makes up different rules!

That is a very common problem at Safeway and I actually stopped shopping Safeway for several months because of all the issues
:( I only recently started going back. I have had good experiences at the Northpoint store but the one on NW BLVD seems to be the friendliest. The one on Nevada st. seems pretty friendly as well. One little trick I have picked up when shopping - just about anywhere for that matter - is choose male cashiers when possible. They don't seem to have so many issues with couponers :)

Thanks for the tips! I actually live over in Cd'A area, but my inlaws live up by NW Blvd, so I will check out that store whenever I go see them! That's funny about the male checkers too! I always look for the young males, but it seems my Safeway over here only employs older male checkers! They scare me because you never know if you'll get a grumpy one! :) I always get so mad when Safeway has good sales because I never know if it's even worth going in there for them! I wonder if Safeway knows how many customers they are losing to Albertsons over their unfriendly coupon cashiers! Sad!

I have a collection of documents regarding Safeway's coupon policy on my Store Policy page that might help a bit :)I keep copies of them in my binder and take them to the store with me.
