It's kind of like riding a bike....

In a sense, or maybe just a die hard habit. I probably could have done better but I have been out of the game for a bit. While I was working, I did not have the time, energy or inclination to go shopping at all so we pretty much surfed on what was already in the pantry with weekly as-needed additions of fresh dairy and produce. As you can imagine, we were actually starting to run out of things (gasp!)

I have been more then a bit envious of the deals that Michele and JoDee have been getting at Safeway. They are going to get a big laugh out of how much I spent :)

Ok, 3 stores - wait - no, it was 4. I started out at Winco because I wanted to pick up some more John Morrell Smoked Sausage that Karissa got for $1.18 each. I had like 50 $1.00 MFR coupons (you can find them at Rosauers but they expire 4/30) so I was planning on picking up a dozen or so. Were down to 4 left from the last time I went there and 2 of those will be used on Saturday so...

I get to Winco and they had raised the price up to $1.78 each! Jackasses!!

So I left and went around the corner to Walmart, not a place I shop at much but since it was so close I decided to check the prices there. They had them for $1.50 each. Twice as much as what I wanted to pay but I'm in a spot here, we are going to run out, so I grabbed 10 of them. I got:

10 John Morrell Smoked Sausages @ $1.50 each = $15.00
2 cans of Bush's Grilling Beans @ $1.48 each = $2.96
1 loaf of Artisan French bread, reduced to .59 cents
1 Rianxeira Tuna Snack @ $1.50
Kikoman Soy Sauce @ $1.42

Subtotal = $21.47

Minus:

$1.00 John Morrell MFRs (exp 4/30) x 10 = $10.00
$1.00/2 Bush's Grilling Beans MRF (4/18 SS, exp. 5/16) = $1.00
$1.50 Rianxeira Coupon (try me free MFR from the 2/10 All You) = $1.50

Total Coupons = $12.50

Total OOP at Walmart = $8.97

And I left a bunch of the John Morrell coupons there too, I wont be using all of them....

Next Stop, Rosauers:

1 Sicilia Lime Juice @ $1.09
9 Kool Aid Fun Fizz @ $2.00 each (normally $2.59 each) = $18.00
1 bunch of Green Onions @ .59 cents (normally .79 cents each)
4 bags of No Yolks Noodles @ $1.00 each = $4.00 (normally $1.59 each)

Subtotal = $23.68 (would have been $31.55 at regular price)

Minus:

$1.00 Kool Aid FunFizz MFR (3/28 SS exp. 4/25 but they took them anyway) x 9 = $9.00
.75 cents off any No Yolks PRINTABLE X 4 = $3.00

Total Coupons = $12.00

Total OOP at Rosauers = $11.68. I saved an additional $7.87 by purchasing the Kool-Aid and Noodles on Sale!

Last stop, Fred Meyers

Transaction #1:

4 boxes of Wheaties Fuel @ $2.00 each = $8.00
- $1.00 PRINTABLE MFR'S x 4 = $4.00
- .05 Bag Credit
= $3.95 and got back a $4.00 Catalina. Thanks for the info on this one Crystal!

I had a .75 cent of e-coupon loaded as well but it didn't come off :(

Transaction # 2:

2 bottles of Mirassou Pinot Noir @ $7.99 each = $15.98
FM usually charges $12.49 per bottle so this is a pretty good deal and it's my mom's favorite. She has been helping me alot around the house and with Colby so I bought them as a Thank You gift for her.
3 - 2 lb. packages of Mahatma Jasmine Rice @ $2.50 each = $7.50
1 bottle of French's Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce @ $1.50
1 bottle of Heinz 57 sauce @ $2.50
2 bottles of Lea and Perrins Worcestershire sauce @ $2.27 each = $4.54
1 bottle of Lea and Perrins Steak Sauce @ $3.49
1 box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch @ $4.89
2 boxes of Yo-plus Yogurt, reduced to .99 cents each = $1.98
1 box of Fiber-1 Yogurt @ $1.99
2 Digiorno Pizza and Breadsticks at $6.19 each = $12.38
Tax = $1.39

Subtotal = $56.75

Minus:

Bag Credit = .15
Free Cinnamon Toast Crunch coupon = $4.89
Free Mahatma Rice Coupons x 3 = $7.50
Fiber-one peelie coupon = .55
$1.00 Yo-plus PRINTABLE MFR (NLA) at .99 cents x 2 = $1.98
$1.00 French's Mustard MFR (4/11 SS, exp. 6/30) = $1.00
$2.00 Lea and Perrins PRINTABLE X 2 = $4.00
$2.00 Heinz 57 sauce PRINTABLE = $2.00 (ty again Frugal Chic)
$3.00 Digiorno PRINTABLE from Facebook x 2 = $6.00
Catalina coupon from previous transaction = $4.00
E-coupon for Fiber-One yogurt from Cellfire = $1.00
E-coupon for Cinnamon Toast Crunch from Cellfire = .55

Total Coupons = $32.07

Total OOP for Fred Meyer = $24.52 - keep in mind that $17.37 of that was for the Wine, so without the Wine it would have been $7.15 :)

Total OOP for all 3 stores = $45.28

But...

If I had not used coupons and purchased things that were on sale the total price tag would have been...$110.82!!

Maybe I didn't do so bad after all ;)~

Leah,
You did great. Bummer about WINCO, they are so weird about Coupons there anyway...definitely not my fave. Good work on the stuff at Fred Meyer, they were out of the goods when I went tonight.

Thanks ladies :)

Joelle, I did get your email and I got the one from JoDee too and responded so now I am wondering if there is some kind of problem with comcast because another person told me that she wasn't getting the notes I sent to her either. Drat!

Ya know, I have another friend with comcast and I never get her replies either . . . there must be somthing funky going on! Anyway, well, I will be sending out a formal invite now that I think pretty much everyone can come!! YEAH! I'm excited to get together again!

Leah - Did you load BOTH the shortcuts and the FM Wheaties eCoupons? If so, which one did you load first (if you can remember). I'm trying to figure this Shortcuts-FM link - it seems like if you load both it doesn't work. Mine doesn't let me load both, but people have told me that they can (and then neither one comes off) - its really weird. Thanks!

The e-coupon I had loaded for the Wheaties was from Shortcuts. I didn't load the FM one, forgot about it :( Not that it mattered much since it didn't come off. Still, made a nickel :)

BTW Joelle, comcast determined that it was my signature file that was screwin with my email going out. I had my blog url in it and it considered it spam so the server was blocking my outgoing mail. They told me I had to upgrade to a business account if I wanted my blog address in my signature file. I told them to look at my blog and figure it out for themselves ;)~ I certainly dont get enough traffic to be considered a business!
