There are 2 rebate deals going on for Tombstone now:

Safeway

Im in a bit of a tiff with the Safeway I usually shop at. Apparently, they did not appreciate the comment I left on the Safeway Web Site about them regarding the way they have been treating me and my coupons lately. It also appears that they have chosen to remedy my dis-satisfaction with their customer service by becoming even more hostile about coupons in general, atleast with me. I am corresponding with Safeway Corp. Customer service to get a final clarification on the coupon policy, but I got to be honest and say right now, Im having a hard time even looking at their ad.

They do have a couple hot ad items for this weekend though, just because Im mad doesn't mean I wont be going for these deals at a different store.

October 24th and 25th

Ty Abundant Food Savings!

  • Knorr Lipton Side Dishes, .79 cents each
  • - $1.00 off 3 PRINTABLE
  • = 3 for $1.37

But, if you buy 4, you will receive a $1.50 Catalina! Happy2bfrugal has the details HERE

Yokes

Yokes is having a Case sale this week, they are mostly Western Family Products which I have never been able to find coupons for. But, if you are thinking about adding some basics to your stock pile then check out their ad HERE.

  • Muir Glen Tomatoes (organic), 2 for $5.00 ($2.50 each)
  • - $1.00 off 1 PRINTABLE (save a couple Albies Doublers to stack for a better deal)
  • = $1.50 each

  • Assorted Pork Chops, $1.39 per lb.

Leah, on the $55.00 savings book, I just got mine today but it says 1/2 nabisco cookies or crackers but the pictures don't show wheat thins. It does have the word ANY capitalized so I just wanted to make sure it would work. oh and by the way did you see that Safeway has the John Morrell sauages on sale for .99 lol that always happens to me oh well

Im am thinking that the Nabisco coupon should work based on the word "ANY". But I have had coupons handed back to me at other stores because the picture on it was not the same as the item I was purchasing even with the "ANY" verbage. Its made me wonder what would happen if they were given a coupon that had no pictures on it.

Any...way. If you can get Safeway to take the John Morrell coupon I would really like to know about it. This is the gist of the tiff Im in with them right now. I have a letter from Safeway corp that says, and I quote, "Customers will only receive savings up to the price of the item, not beyond the price and no cash back will be given." Which I understand means that they would accept the coupon but only give you a .99 cent credit for it. And, I do base that understanding on a conversation I had with a Corp. CSR and the store manager, but Im still having problems with cashiers not wanting to accept coupons that make items free. This is what I am waiting for the Corp. Customer service to clarify and honestly, it seems like every time I use any coupons at Safeway anymore flames shoot out of the cashiers ears and its just a hassle. I dont seem to have this problem at other grocery stores so Im perfectly ok with the .18 cents I paid for my JM sausage, it was well worth it not to get static over the coupons. You know?

which safeway is giving you all this trouble? we got the gum free and the off the bone free so what the heck changed? Prior to couponing I used to only shop Yokes (and I love them all there) now I have added Safeway and Albies and FM to my list do to great deals that go along with the coupons I have. If Safeway doesn't take coupons that happen to make things free than I will no longer shop there and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I'm going to try the John Morrell coupon and I will let you know! thanks!!

Im sorry, I can't say which store it is right now because I am still talking to the corp. Customer service for what I hope will be a resolution. I can say that I will probably be doing all of my Safeway shopping at the Shadle store, I shopped there for 15 years was always satisfied with the service I received :)

I'm sorry to hear that you are having troubles with Safeway. I of course know what store you are talking about and have not had any issues with them at all. I will try my Hormell coupons on Saturday. They are always excited about my savings there so I'm surprised you are having issues. I'm anxious to hear what corporate has to say.

Thanks Michele,

Im eager to see how that works out for you. I do think that they are picking on me a bit since I sent the "comment", and was talking to the manager at the same time. You know, Im weird about this kind of stuff. Maybe not the smartest thing I ever did :(

I feel bad, my actions may have made it just that much harder for other coupon queens at this store.

I've had problems w/ coupons (particularly internet printed ones for me) at Safeway, too. I never really got any clear answers or resolution when I contacted customer service w/ my concerns, so I rarely go to Safeway now unless there's some really good deals.

Leah,

Maybe we just need to go in together. The cashiers have always been more then kind to me. I'm hoping for a early Saturday morning trip before work.

There is a $5 rebate from Real Simple that the Albertsons Northern TP should apply to. Buy $15 in product from list (includes Northern Ultra Plush and other items), get $5 rebate. I'm waiting for the doublers that come out on Sunday to buy mine!

Thanks Janet! I forgot about that one.

I, too, have had troubles w/ Safeway and my coupons. The manager has stepped in to help w/ my transactions when it comes to e-coupons. So...I have been making Walmart price match the Safeway ads. It somewhat makes me feel better, but they don't print catalinas, they don't take E-coupons and the parking lot is a nightmare. Whew, now I feel better.
