Great stockpiling day




Today was a great day for doing the stock-pile shopping.  My mom and I went the the Grocery Outlet Bargain Market, and then knocked over the Albertsons on Indian Trail :)


Our first stop was the Grocery Outlet.  Here we purchased:
  • 1 box of eggs, 5 dozen ct. @ $4.99
  • 3 lbs. Yellow Onions @ $1.50 
  •  2 bottles of Hunts Ketchup @.99 cents each = $1.98
  • 1 Lemon@ .50 cents
  • 2 Packages of Martha White Pizza Crust mix @ 2/$1.00 = $1.00
  • 5 Garlic Bulbs @ .99 cents
  • 2 boxes of Cinnamon Graham Crackers @ $1.39 each = $2.78
  • 1 bag of Salad mix @ .99 cents
  • 1 canister of Hills Bros. Coffee @ $6.99
  • 3 lbs of Yams @ $2.49

      Total Spent = $24.21
    Total Saved = $15.86 (according to the receipt, I actually think this might be a little on the low side this time but I haven't been able to do a price comparison to another store yet)


    Then we headed over to the Albertsons on Indian trail, where we ran into Michele, who has Doubler madness this week.  She is ripping it up big time Ladies so keep an eye on her blog!    My mom and I did 3 transactions.

    Order #1
    • 4 Progresso Beef Broth@ $2.00 each = $8.00
    • 2 Progresso Chicken Broth@ $2.00 each = $4.00
    • 2 - 5 lb. Gold Medal Flour at $2.00 Each = $4.00
    • 4 Yo-Plus Yogurt @ $2.50 each = $10.00
    Subtotal = $26.00


    Minus:
    Total Coupons = $8.00

    Subtotal = $18.00

    Minus:
    • 3 Albertsons Twice your value coupons @ $1.00 each = $3.00
    Total OOP for first order = $15.00

    And I got my $10.00 OYNO.

    • 3 boxes of Betty Crocker Potatoes@  $1.67 each = $5.01
    • 1 box of Betty Crocker Potatoes @ $1.66
    • 3 cans of Progresso "High Fiber" Soups @ $1.67 each = $5.01
    • 1 Can of Progresso "High Fiber" Soup @ $1.66
    • 2 - 5lb Golg Medal Flour @ $2.00 each = $4.00
    • 3 boxes of Green Giant Frozen Vegetables @ 1.67 each = $5.01
    • 1 box of Green Giant Frozen Vegetables @ $1.66
    • 1 Green Giant Steamers Vegetable = $2.00
    Subtotal = $26.01

    Minus:
    • 4 - .25 cents Betty Crocker Potatoes MFRs = $1.00
    • 2 - .50 cent Gold Medal Flour MFRs = $1.00 (Link to print above)
    • 4 - $1.00 off 1 Progresso Soup PRINTABLE = $4.00
    • 2 - .50 cents off 2 any Boxed Green Giant Vegetables PRINTABLE = $1.00
    • 1 - .40 cents off 1 Green Giant Steamer = .40 cents 
    Total Coupons = $7.40

    Subtotal = 18.61

    Minus:
    • 3 - Albertsons Twice your value coupons @ $1.00 = $3.00
    • 1 = $10.00 OYNO from previous transaction = $10.00 
    Subtotal for store coupon = $13.00

    Total OOP = $5.60

     And, we got another $10.00 OYNO to roll with!

    We used this last OYNO to buy some things we needed but didn't have coupons for.  We did not have any more Doublers, and store did not get any this week either.
    • 1 gallon of Milk = $2.19
    • 1 gallon of Albertsons White Vinegar = $2.59
    • 1 - 2 lb. package of C & H Brown Sugar = $2.79
    • 2 boxes of Farmhouse Pasta, in the reduced cart @ .50 cents each = $1.00
    • 1.91 lbs. of Bananas @ .56 cetns per lb = $1.07
    • 1.17 lbs of Red Delicious Apples @ .78 cents per lb - .91 cents 
    Subtotal = $10.75

    Minus:
    • 1 - .35 cents off 1 C & H any 2 lb sugar = .35
    • $10.00 OYNO from previous transaction = $10.00
    Total coupons = $10.35

    Total OOP = .40 cents


    Our total spending and savings from all 4 transaction:

    •  Spent = $45.22
    • Store Savings = $40.00
    • MFR coupon Savings = $35.75
    It was a bit more then I am used to spending in 1 day, but we did get a years worth of flour, 6 months worth of broth, several meals in side dishes and a months worth of yogurt.  So, it wasn't really that much, if you look at it that way.

    did albertsons double the coupons that said don't double?

    Jodee, They did double coupons that said don't double. We went through the self check-out, though Im not sure that really mattered since the attendant still had to come over and do the coupons.

    I was so envious of your Chicken Broth and flour that I had to make another trip today myself even though I said I was done. lol
