Fred Meyer Run

If you got today's paper, make sure you look at Page A-9 for 3 coupons for:

Here is what we got today. I have to say, we went through the self-check out and there are some flaws in that process, because 1 of our items did not scan (I didn't realize that until I got home), and the scale didn't catch it either. I thought I heard the beep but the item isn't showing up on the receipt. Also, a MFR coupon that I cannot recall having for .50 cents came off the total as well. I am breaking it down according to how it should have worked out and then I will give you the numbers on how it did work out.

• 10 Fred Meyer Canned Beans @ .59 cents each = $5.90
• 1 Yoplait Yo-plus yogurt @ $1.99
• 1 Yoplait Fiber-1 yogurt @ $1.99
• 2 Fresh Pet Select Dog Foods @ $1.99 each = $3.98
• 4 Coffee-Mate Creamers @ $2.00 each = $8.00
• 2 Bags of Cheetos @ $1.67 each = $3.34
• 2 Gatorade 8 ct packs @ $4.77 each = $9.54
• 2 All Small and Mighty Laundry Detergent @ $3.99 each = $7.98
• 2 Gallons of Mountain Dairy Milk @ $2.39 each = $4.78
• 1 Pork Roast @ $5.82 (6.5 lbs)
• 1 Pork Roast @ $5.83 (6.5 lbs)
• Tax = $1.87

Subtotal = $61.02

Minus Store Coupons:

• - $5.00 off of $25.00 ( Home mailer, received in the North Spokane area for the Wandermere store only)
• - .90 cents for the Fred Meyer Beans
• - $1.00 x 2 for the All Small and Mighty Laundry Detergent = $2.00
• - $1.78 x 2 for the Gatorade = $3.56
• - $1.40 x 2 for the Milk = $2.80
• - .98 cents x 2 for the Cheetos = $1.96

Total for Store coupons = $16.22

Subtotal for order = $44.80

Minus MFR coupons:

• - $1.00 x 4 Coffee Mate PRINTABLE = $4.00

Here are the real numbers:

• Subtotal Before Coupons: $60.43
• Total After Store and MFR Coupons: $27.32

So, while I was working out the breakdown I realized that I had not been charged for 1 can of beans which would have added .59 cents to the subtotal, and added .09 cents to the store coupon total. But, then one of my MFR coupons scanned in at .50 cents instead of $1.00. I asked my mom if she could remember if we used any .50 cent coupons and she could not either. All of my coupons were for a $1.00 or more.

I did get $1.04 in overages with the Cell fire coupons and Pet Fresh coupon since the attendant took off the full coupon value @ $2.50 instead of the shelf price @ $1.99...but its a bit weird how the scales let that extra can of beans slide through and one of my coupons not scanning at the amount on it. I guess I shouldn't be worried about a .48 cent difference in my favor, but it did make me realize that you really have to keep on your toes when using the self-check out.

BTW, if I am recalling correctly, the Pork Shoulder Blade Roast sign said it would be on sale through 11/11/09 at .89 cents/lb. We plan on going back tommorrow and picking up a couple more so I will double check that, but its a great stock up price for some Yummy Sunday Dinners :)
